Private browsers for iPhone with a vault

The Blank vault

A private browser with a vault saves videos and photos from websites into a locked folder inside the app, instead of Photos. Five iPhone apps do this: Blank, Aloha Browser, Private Browser Deluxe, Private Photo Vault, and Norton Private Browser. We make Blank. What we write about the other four comes from their App Store listings in October 2026.

Download Blank free

1. Blank

  • Its own passcode, separate from your iPhone passcode, plus Face ID.
  • Downloads videos, including streams, straight into an encrypted vault that stays out of Photos, Files, and iCloud.
  • Spaces with separate passcodes, an AI that runs on your iPhone, and email addresses for sign-ups.
  • Free. Blank+ adds a 100 GB Cloud Vault, backup, and more for $7.99 a month or $69.99 a year.

Good for someone who shares a phone, or lives with someone who checks it.

2. Aloha Browser

  • A free built-in VPN with more than 80 locations, and ad blocking.
  • A downloader for videos and files, with a biometric lock for downloads.
  • Aloha Premium costs $7.99 a month or $69.99 a year.

Good for a free VPN with many countries.

3. Private Browser Deluxe

  • A passcode or Touch ID for searches, history, and downloads, and a Destroy button that deletes them.
  • A Secret Vault folder for private files, and background downloads with a download manager.
  • Discreet icon colors for the Home Screen.

Good for a simple downloader with a passcode.

4. Private Photo Vault – Pic Safe

  • A photo vault first, with a PIN lock, a decoy password, and break-in reports with a photo and location.
  • A private web browser that downloads photos into the app.
  • Optional encrypted cloud backup with a password of its own.

Good for photos you already have, with a decoy password.

5. Norton Private Browser

  • Ad blocking, tracking protection, and protection from malicious sites and phishing.
  • A Secure File Vault that encrypts downloaded files.
  • A browser lock with a passcode or biometrics.

Good for phishing protection from a known security brand.

What to look for

  • A passcode of its own. If the app opens with your iPhone passcode, anyone who knows it gets in.
  • Downloads that skip Photos. A vault that needs you to save to Photos first leaves copies in Recently Deleted and iCloud.
  • Support for video streams. Many sites stream video instead of offering a file. Check that the browser can save the videos you watch.
  • Encryption. Look for a vault that encrypts your files, not one that only hides them behind a screen.

Questions

What is the best private browser for iPhone with a vault?

It depends on who you are hiding from. If someone who knows your iPhone passcode uses your phone, pick a browser with its own passcode and an encrypted vault, such as Blank. If you mainly want a free VPN, Aloha has more locations.

Can a vault app keep videos out of Recently Deleted?

Only if you save videos straight into it. Blank downloads videos directly into its vault, so they never reach Photos or Recently Deleted.
