Blank AI is a chat assistant that runs on your iPhone instead of in a data center. It is free with no daily limit, needs no account, and saves your chats only on your phone, encrypted and behind Blank's passcode.

How it works

Blank AI downloads its language model over Wi-Fi when you tap Download Blank AI. Nothing downloads before that. iPhones with more memory get a larger model that writes better answers. After that, Blank AI writes every reply on your iPhone.

What leaves your phone

Before Blank AI answers, it sends your latest message and up to five earlier messages to our server, which checks them against our content rules and returns a decision. We do not store or log these messages. Your chats are stored only on your iPhone, encrypted like the rest of Blank.

When your iPhone is offline, iPhones with the larger model run this check on the device. Other iPhones wait until they are online.

Web search with Blank+

With Blank+, Blank AI can search the web for current answers. Search is off until you turn it on. Searches never carry your account number, and we do not store the search words. The privacy policy explains where each search goes.

Why on-device matters

Most AI chat apps keep your conversations on their servers, tied to an account. Blank AI has no account and no chat history on a server, so there is nothing to look up and nothing to find in a web dashboard. On your phone, the chats sit behind Blank's own passcode with the rest of your browsing.
